Autor společensky angažovaných veršů propagujících národní černošskou kulturu (Between the Forest and the Sea – Mezi pralesem a mořem, Deep Down the Blackman š Mind – Cesta do hlubin černochovy duše) a etnografických studií (Daw over Africa – Úsvit nad Afrikou).
